Our Story

Webbers Travel of Exmoor was born in June 1999, a new venture by father & son - Ron & Matt Webber, when we licensed a car as a taxi with North Devon Council.

I think because we live in a rural area, some people thought we were crazy, and were unlikely to ever do anything! - but it was only a few weeks before we were approached by Devon County Council about taking on a school contract in the Lynton area.

A few weeks later, numbers grew and we were asked if we would add another vehicle. It wasn't long before people were saying, why don't you get a minibus! From then on through the years we have added and upgraded licenses & vehicles to what we have today, - two 16 seat PSV minicoaches, plus two 8 seat and one 6 seat licensed private hire vehicles.

Today, our family team of Ron, Matt & Sally, along with our valued freelance drivers & school escorts - Stewart, Garry, Keith, Astra, Denise & Trish, keep things running on a daily basis. 

We are always busy with airport transfers, birthday parties, weddings, various trips and tours, plus our school transport contracts with Devon County Council. 

Since 2005, we have been a transport provider for HF Holidays, a walking and special interest holiday company who lease Holnicote House at Selworthy from the National Trust, and use this as their 'Exmoor Country House'. Lots of different types of holidays are operated for them, such as Exmoor Discovery Tours, Landscape Painting Holidays, Gardens Tours of North Devon & Somerset, and several different wildlife holidays on Exmoor. 

Another customer that looks to be having a busy year is Contours Walking Holidays, who arrange walking holidays in the area, so there are plenty of passengers for us to transport to and from walks, and also luggage transfers throughout the season.
